Wrestlemania 13

4 corners tag match - This was alright, but in the main the tag division in the WWE in this period was mainly awful.

Rock vs Sultan - Decent match, Rock still looked pretty green here.

HHH vs Goldust - Not bad really, they had a better match at the 97 Royal Rumble though.

Owen Hart/Bulldog vs Mankind/Vader - Poor finish but the match wasn't so bad. Went a bit too long.

Bret Hart vs Steve Austin - Superb match, really brutal match. Had a lot more to do with the changing ways of the Attitude era than people may realise.

LOD/Ahmed Johnson vs Nation Of Domination - A decent brawl, nothing more. No real wrestling psychology here.

SID vs Undertaker - Pretty underwhelming Wrestlemania main event.

Overall not a bad Wrestlemania, one great match.

Wrestlemania 14

15 Team Battle Royal - Battle Royal 101 really, nothing truly outstanding apart from the surprise entrants.

Taka vs Aguila - Decent cruiserweight action here.

HHH vs Owen Hart - Pretty good match between these two.

Marc Mero/Sable vs Goldust/Luna - Nothing terrible here, just an ok match.

Rock vs Ken Shamrock - Good match here between these two who were embroiled in a bitter feud in 1998.

Cactus Jack/Chainsaw Charlie vs New Age Outlaws - An ok match where the environment came into play well.

Kane vs Undertaker - Brilliant big man match where the crowd were really into it.

Stone Cold vs Shawn Michaels - It's a shame neither man was 100% fit here because it could have been great, as it was it was a pretty good match where again, the foundations were laid for a much more successful era.

Pretty good Wrestlemania here.

THESE TWO WERE AMONG THE BEST WRESTLEMANIAS OF THE 90's!
Two historically significant wrestlemania's, with some of the most memorable moments in the history of the event, moments so icon they are still played and felt till this day. I think when people look back at these two WMs the one image that stands out has to be that of Austin bleeding to death while in the sharpshooter, yet not giving up. It was an image that defines Austins career. But thats not the only thing significant: Shawn Michaels had what was supposedly and strongly believed to be his final match in wrestling, Tyson knocking out Michaels, Austin winning his 1st title, Undertaker winning his first title at Wrestlemania among other such moments. There was no 60,000 seated stadiums, but these events felt big, with some of the biggest matches in Wrestlemania history, none more so than Bret hart vs Stone cold, Shawn Michaels vs Stone cold.

WRESTLEMANIA 13
WWE Championship Match
Sycho Sid vs. Undertaker- Now i know next to nobody will agree with me, but this was a solid and dare i say it, good match! You know, when people badmouth a match and trash it like its among the worst, before i watch it i have such low expectations that its virtually impossible not to exceed such expectations. If you shun out the fact that these two were wrestling in the main event of the biggest event in wrestling, you might be mildly entertained by this. Yes the match had a TON of restholds that would beat any record Randy orton has set, but in between it had some good action between the big men, some funny commentating from Shawn Michaels and numerous appearances by Bret Hart that eventually cost Sid. Undertaker and Sid put on a match that i think is much better than said, and the reason is just because its a Mania main event. Yes it might be among the worst( funny enough the worst ive seen i think is Sid vs Hogan, but i havent watch many of the older ones) main events of WM, but these two put on a strong performance, culminating in Taker winning his 1st title at a WM. Great celebration after the match. Generous-7/10

Chicago Street Fight
Ahmed Johnson & Legion of Doom vs. Faarooq, Savio Vega & Crush- The first half of this crazy brawl was suprisingly very good, it looked as though they would pull a great match. The brawl was physical with some great moments including 4x4, trash cans, announcers tables, fire extinguishers among others, but then the second half became tedious. What was an enjoyable match became a repetitive encounter with the same weapon spots over and over again. Still the match was entertaining and served its purpose and these 6 put on a strong match-7/10

Submission Match
Bret "Hit Man" Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - You know there are some matches that are so simple that its perfect. Off the top of my head 5star matches that were simple include Flair vs HBK, Benoit vs HHH vs HBK and Flair vs Steamboat. These matches didnt do nothing spectacular in terms of spots, but the story told, the fluidity, the intensity and drama is what propels it and separates it from matches that are solely spotfests. This is a toss up with the Triple threat and Flair vs Steamboat at Chi town rumble as the best match ive ever watched. This match didnt do no insane spots, but its the hatred these two portrayed, the physicality, the drama, the ability to relate to the crowd and draw them in is what makes this arguably the best match in Mania history. Some say this is overrated and i can see why someone would say this as nothing insane happened, but if you love wrestling matches that sticks to a formula, this is it. The brawl in the crowd was fantastic(which is usually a boring spot) the weapons weren't overused and used at the perfect time, the submissions builded the drama and the ending is arguably the most iconic in the events history: Austin bleeding buckets but refusing to give up to Bret's Sharpshooter. It really solidified Austin as a badass. This truly was a career defining performance for both men, especially Austin, which propelled him to the top of the industry. It was a match that turned Bret heel and Austin the "heel" face. Their Survivor series match was better in terms of actions, but in story telling this was done perfectly in comparison, and the action played to this, and thus why its arguably the greatest match of all time-10/10

World Tag Team Championship Match
Owen Hart & British Bulldog vs. Vader & Mankind- Another strong match, the first great of the event. These 4 were among the most talented individuals at the time and it showed. Mankind took the usually crazy bumps, Vader showed why he's the best big-man ever while Owen and Bulldog showed their technical prowess. NOW WHAT I HATE WAS THE ENDING. It was going on great and excellently and then the stupid ending hurted it big time. It could of gone on to be even better, but for what it was it was a great tag team match-8/10

Hunter Hearst-Helmsley vs. Goldust- Strong match, some good action here and this was among the many matches of this event that was underrated. It was back and forth and the psychology of the match was solid as well. Its funny looking back how far Triple H has come while Goldust career only went down. But on this night, like everyone else at the event, they could be proud-7.5/10

Intercontinental Championship Match
Rocky Maivia vs. The Sultan- Another strong match, both men being the Rock and Rikishi. Funny how both men would change their characters only 3years later. Nonetheless a good intercontinental title match that will never be remembered, but it was entertaining and like all matches in the event, it served its purpose. Rocky Maivia's father also makes an appearance!-7.5/10

Four-Team Elimination Match
Godwinns vs. Doug Furnas & Phil Lafon vs. New Blackjacks vs. Headbangers- decent, surprisingly, but nothing much else of note. Note the best opener as it didn't get the crowd involved, but during this time only the main eventers in WWE seemed capable of doing such-6.5/10

WRESTLEMANIA 14
WWE Championship Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin- This match was HUGE, with a build all the way from the Rumble that was fantastic. Mike tyson was the special enforcer for this, and his presence was felt in the end. Watching this match you gain a huge amount of respect for both men. Austin was starting to feel the affects of the neck injury again, Shawn's Back was so bad he couldn't even wrestler during the build up, and from the start of the match the pain was evident in his face. Yet these men battled it out to put on arguably the gutsiest performance in any main event of WM. The match was fought at a good pace, the crowd was wild for it, and the match was filled with great spots throughout. This match has nothing on their match at the King of the Ring, but they put on a greater effort here. Near the end Shawn could barely walk, but he stayed strong and was able to perform the great ending sequence, in which a sweet chin music was ducked, a stunner blocked, a sweet chin music blocked and then a stunner hit. Mike tyson shockingly turned on DX and counted 3 for Austin, winning his 1st title of his career. Tyson would proceed to knock Michaels lights out and his career(so it seemed). Great match and an even greater effort. Significant match that will never be forgotten-8.5/10

Undertaker vs. Kane- This was among the two most hyped and anticipated matches of the event, and it delivered. I still feel this is Kane's strongest match not only against Taker, but in his whole career. The build was FANTASTIC, the match was great, with one particularly great spot in which Taker missed a top rope planca and went through the table! Kane did what no other man could do: take the Undertaker to his absolute limit and kick out of 2 tombstones! These two can be proud as they lived up to the hype. I should also mention Takers amazing entrance which is among his best ever, and Pete Rose gets TOMBSTONED BY KANE!-8.5/10

Dumpster Match for the World Tag Team Championship
New Age Outlaws vs. Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie - I had high hopes for this, and while this match was overall great, i felted the final portion let it down. It had MANY crazy spots including the Dumpster, Ladders among other weapons. If you love your hardcore spot fest then this is your cup of tee. Great match with a rather weak last few minutes, but that shouldn't greatly detrimite your enjoyment-8/10

Intercontinental Championship Match
The Rock vs. Ken Shamrock- Well this match was certainly a huge disapointment, and is probably the only sub-par match of the show. It is even more disapointing when you watch their prior encounter at the Rumble, and then their King of the Ring finals match a couple months later, both which were great. Its a shame because this was on its way to be a solid match, but the ridiculous ending ruined the whole match, with Shamrock winning, he didnt let go of his ankle lock and the ref reversed the decision, leading to Shamrock demolishing the ref's. Definintely not the highlight of the rivalry, could of been far better-5/10

Mixed Tag Team Match
Marvelous Marc Mero & Sable vs. The Artist Formerly known as Goldust & Luna- Strong mixed tag, MUCH better than expected with its entertaining moments-7/10

European Championship Match
Triple H vs. Owen Hart- Owen Hart is underrated, period. This was among the best matches of the night and at the time it was Triple h's best match. This was a time when the European championship had value, and these two put on a back and forth, entertaining match that almost stole the show if it wasnt given more time. Watch out for the involvement of Chyna and Sgt Slaughter-8/10

Light-Heavyweight Championship Match
Taka Michinoku vs. Aguila- I can't deny it, i love high risk spot fests and this was no exception. I know many will complain with my rating as this match had absolutely no flow, in which it was spot after spot, but those spots were amazing, things that hadn't been seen in WWE previously. The crowd really couldn't connect at all with these two men's efforts, nonetheless I was entertained and my rating shows that-8/10

15-Team Battle Royal- Only remember this being boring-5/10

Look at those ratings, this is clearly among the best tagged classic on the website! Buy and you wont regret, as these two DVDs contain some of the greatest moments of the event, the best match in the events history, significant career performances, and most of all, the event as a whole was consistent with minimal negatives. 3 WORDS: BUY THIS NOW!
